David Blaine and Jews for Jesus

After physical therapy I decided to go check out David Blaine. He's the fellow that pulls stunts every so often. This one consisted of putting himself in a bubble/tank of water for a week. That week ends tonight where he'll do some sort of magic trip. I trooped over to Lincoln Square - I came, I saw, I left.

On my way out, I noticed a bunch of Jews for Jesus people handing out fliers to the crowd. They are clearly identifiable t-shirts and bags that advertise the fact. I debated going over and taking one, but I heard they get paid for how much they hand out. Then I thought about going over to speak with them. But my overriding factor was that I was so hungry. I decided to go home and have dinner.

The upshot is that I'm sad when I look at these people. First of all I'm sure that they aren't Jewish (since this is the way this group works). However, at the same time there are Jews involved and I wish I could do something. Time for me to review my books again.

Didja see David Blaine? I heard he bailed out - better than dying, I suppose.
Ah well. Off to finish studying for Water Law.. no pun intended (though that is pretty funny). ;D

Actually, we are Jews. But that isn't the real issue,is it? If Jesus is not who he claimed to be, the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world, then no one should believe in him, Jews or Gentiles. We are Jews for Jesus because we have discovered that he is the one the Hebrew prophets wrote about. Don't be sad. Instead, be willing to find out for yourself if it's true. Susan

wrong... all wrong.

A Jew is one who adhere's to Judaism, and as such, does not believe Jesus to be the promised messiah. Judaism and Christianity are two completely different concepts, and a Jew for Jesus would be what most refer to as an oxy-moron...

Also, there's no such thing as a Judeo-Christian. This has been underlined by countless Rabbi's, as well as Catholic priests who are willing to tell the truth. It's either one, or the other, no in between... ;)
