Black tie
I was looking at possibly attending a charity event but saw that it was listed as black tie. I remember noting that my roommate had a tux in his closet, but didn't think much of it then. Now, seeing two events in as many months with that dress code makes me wonder, “is it de rigueur in Manhattan have a tux in the closet?”
