Wireless keyboard

I was hanging out with some friends tonight, when the topic of Apple's new wireless Bluetooth keyboard arose. Anthony brought up a very interesting question: "Will you still be able to do things with it like hold down the C key on startup to boot from a CD?"

Probably not. Nowadays, the boot ROM in a Mac isn't that big. All it has to do is be able to build a device tree for the installed hardware in the machine, find the boot disk, load enough of the OS from the disk, and run it. I doubt that they're going to start shoving enough code into the boot process to get Bluetooth going.

Which means that you'd better keep a real keyboard handy. Because you may, someday, need to hold down that C key.
