iPod Software 1.2.6
Apple recently released version 1.2.6 of the iPod software. If you have an iPod, you need this.
I don't use my iPod a lot, so I'd charge it, toss it the drawer, and come back two weeks later to find the battery dead. When 1.2.6 came out, I charged my iPod. Today I pulled the iPod out of the drawer, hit a button, and it turned on. It wouldn't have done that before.
The battery read one notch, so I let it play. It's played for about 2 hours now, shows zero notches on the battery, but is still going. I'm going to run it down to remind it what the battery capacity is.
The update claims "improved battery management". It's real. Get it.
